“Kevin not only possesses a broad range of knowledge and experience, but he also has an incredible sense of humor that makes him such a pleasure to work with,” says Tawanna Evans, Closing/Post Closing Team Lead at PrivatePlus.

For his part, Kevin says, “the best thing that I’ve learned in working at PrivatePlus is that there are some very dedicated, caring people here and I’ve developed incredible friendships in the time I’ve been here. I’ve also learned that teamwork is essential for any success no matter what job you have.”

After graduating from West Virginia University with a degree in broadcast journalism, he was employed as a news writer and a radio DJ before transitioning into the mortgage industry. “Whether it be broadcasting (working in radio) or the mortgage industry, you have to work very hard and sometimes long hours and the reward a good deal of the time…is knowing you’ve done a great job and worked to the very best of your ability to serve your audience or customer.”

Away from work, Kevin enjoys exploring the outdoors, where he is able to focus on his passion for photography. “My attention to detail is relevant in my photography and this totally relates to my job at PrivatePlus; the very fine details can be taken for granted, but are crucial,” he says.

Kevin’s photography has become popular on Facebook. His weekly post, “Kevin’s Friday Photo Finish of the Week,” has garnered a loyal following. He’s been asked to be a photographer at a friend’s wedding next spring, and enjoys posting photos periodically in the Facebook Group “Sunrise Sunset Insomnia Coffee Club.”

Fun fact: Kevin grew up in a military family, with the unique opportunity to live in Okinawa, Japan, as a child. “I was very young when my family and I were in Okinawa, but my family shared with me that we had all survived a pretty strong Typhoon, so strong that floodwaters did come into our living room.”

For now, we’ll leave you with a photo Kevin took in Destin in November.
