Joel S. Arogeti has over 33 years of experience in business law and is a talented and effective advisor and counselor to business owners and their companies. Joel joined Kitchens Kelley Gaynes, P.C. as a shareholder in 1996, and his practice concentrates in the areas of business law and estate planning, where he also serves as its Chief Executive Officer and President. An undergraduate of George Washington University in 1978, he worked for Congressman Elliott H. Levitas both in Washington, D.C., and Decatur, Georgia. After graduating from Emory University’s School of Law in 1982, Joel worked as an enforcement attorney for the Securities and Exchange Commission (S.E.C.) in Miami, Florida. In 1984, worked for the Dickstein Shapiro & Morin law firm in Washington D.C. Joel returned to Atlanta to work with Frankel Hardwick, Tanenbaum & Fink, P.C. and in 1990 he became a shareholder of that firm. In addition to his active business law and estate planning practice, Joel is sought out to serve as a FINRA arbitrator of securities disputes and on behalf of S.E.C. Joel is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, Atlanta Bar Association, American Bar Association and the Atlanta Estate Planning Council. Joel has extensive contacts in the community, and he is widely recognized for his leadership strengths. Joel’s community involvement includes participating in Leadership Atlanta’s Class of 2008. Joel currently serves as Chair of the Board of The Marcus Jewish Community Center of Atlanta and Board member of The Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta. Joel also chaired the Board of Directors Hosea Feed the Hungry & Homeless and has served as Past President and Board Member of Congregation Or VeShalom, a Board member of The Epstein School, The Louis Kahn Group Home, the Atlanta Chapter of the American Jewish Committee and Hillels of Georgia. Joel also is a charter member of Private Bank of Buckhead’s (PBB) Board of Directors, currently chairs its Audit Committee and also serves on the bank’s Loan and ALCO Committees. He is past chair of PBB’s Executive Committee.
